|About the Book|
Bj is finding out the hard way that being “different” from others is seen as not cool in his school. He finds himself being teased and called out of his name by his peers for no reason, and doesn’t understand why no one likes him. With the help of his art teacher and his parents, Bj’s attitude about himself triggers an eye-opening conversation between him and his parents. After finding out that being born biracial is just as normal as being born any other ethnicity, Bj begins to exhibit a self-assured attitude that helps him to recognize his own self-worth.
